Top 5 Things to ask Before you sign!

We understand that communication is vital to the success of any business which is why any changes to your telephony or infrastructure should be given serious consideration.

As part of our commitment to providing the best possible service to our customers we have put together a useful list of questions to ask if you are considering moving to VoIP or changing provider.

1. How long is your contract for?
This can vary, however make sure that if you sign a lengthy contract you get the best deal possible and always check the cancellation charges should you wish to change provider inside of your contract.
2. Get a full list of there charges and rates!
E,g additional phones, extension prices, office moves and support fees, the initial setup fees may seem fine but as your company grows additional phones/features could be costly.
3. Check the tariffs!
This sounds obvious but so many people can get caught out by the conditions, especially when it comes to inclusive minutes. You may find that rates only apply at certain times or that they do not apply to all the numbers you first thought. Get an understanding of your most frequently called destinations and check the rates accordingly.
4. Is my broadband compatible with the service being offered?
It is imperative to check your current infrastructure in order to ensure it will support a VoIP solution. This could include your current broadband, if the upload speed is not high enough for example the quality of the calls may suffer.
5. Ask what features you will be getting!
Try to get an understanding of what features you will be getting and ask if you really need them! You may end up paying over the odds for services you will not be using, and not have the features you really want!

Bear in mind that nothing comes for free, so many people can be drawn to lots of free offerings however if a company is offering lots of free hardware, services or minutes then they will be forced to make money in other areas. E.g your tariff or a lengthy contract or even excessive monthly rental charges! Always get a second opinion.
